Graham Gee

Dr Graham Gee is originally from Darwin. His Aboriginal-Chinese grandfather was born near Belyuen, on Larrakia Country, and his mother's heritage is Celtic. Graham is a clinical psychologist and worked at the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service for 11 years, before taking up a Senior Research Fellow position at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute. His area of research is healing and recovery from complex trauma among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the lifespan, with an increasing focus on healing childhood sexual abuse.

Graham's current CRE roles include co-leading the priority area linked to healing and recovery from trauma and being on the CRE Policy network team.

Graham would like to see the CRE result in improving therapeutic support for survivors of complex trauma, and better support structure for practitioners in the workforce who specialise in this area.

Graham brings a passion for supporting survivors to heal and recover from complex trauma, and a motivation to improve service delivery pathways and programs that are more culturally responsive for minority groups.

Graham lives and works on Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung country.

Saltwater, waves, and being with family and close friends keeps Graham strong and resilient.
