Uncle Ron Briggs

Aboriginal Senior Cultural Advisor

Uncle Ron Briggs is a Yorta Yorta, Gunditjmara, Wurundejri man. He is passionate about the health and wellbeing of his people and community and has worked in health services for over 25 years.

Ron started as a health worker for the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service, doing health checks with homeless people. Since then, his work has focused on helping Aboriginal men and fathers become healthy role models for their families and communities.

Ron has been a Board member of the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service for 10 years and also currently sits on the Ngwala Board of Directors. In 2016, he received the Reg Blow City of Whittlesea Reconciliation Award in recognition of his work.
